Position overview

The Division of Student Life supports the University to meet its strategic objectives by ensuring an enriched student experience for all students. At ANU, a growing percentage of our students reside in 'on-campus' accommodation making residential life an important part of the overall student experience.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong track record for the position of Deputy Head of Hall, Burton and Garran Hall.

Burton and Garran Hall provides a supportive academic, culturally diverse and social environment and accommodation for over 500 undergraduate students in a self-catered residential college. It is an active living and learning community with a strong focus on high levels of community engagement and an ‘all are welcomed’ attitude.

Responsibilities include: student welfare and pastoral care, staff management and leadership, operational management and general resident support. If you are a committed and inspirational leader, with high-level administration and communication skills, an in-depth understanding of the student experience and a passion for student development, this is an opportunity for you. You will be able to make a significant contribution to students’ lives during their time at the University and more specifically, support our Burton and Garran Hall students to achieve success.
