The Work Environment Group (WEG) provides services to all areas across the University and is responsible for the management of Work Health and Safety (WHS), injury management, compensation, health and well-being for staff. This role works closely with the University community and other WEG team members to provide high quality injury prevention advice and services and maintain safe and healthy workplaces compliant across a range of legislative requirements. The position reports to the Manager, Work Health and Safety, within the broader WEG team.

Working within a team of professionals in the Work Environment Group (WEG), the Senior Consultant, Injury Prevention, is responsible for the development and delivery of prevention strategies aligned with the University key hazards, to help reduce the number and the impact of injuries and illness and promote health and safety. The position will manage initiatives and projects as part of the program of activities designed to deliver identified strategic outcomes for injury prevention at the University. This position will drive change and positively influence the development and implementation of WHS policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role you must have a postgraduate qualification or are progressing towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant health-related field and extensive relevant experience in the delivery of injury prevention initiatives.
