Position overview

The Public Policy and Societal Impact Hub at the Australian National University is responsible for maximising the contribution that ANU makes to societal wellbeing and the development of good public policy.  The Hub’s small team works closely with the University and policy community as part of the University’s Global Engagement portfolio. The Associate Director will contribute to achieving the University’s strategic priorities and objectives for the Hub.

The Associate Director will support the Director in the development and implementation of the Hub’s overall work programs, and will oversee the Hub’s reporting requirements, administrative systems and operational management.  The Associate Director is responsible for development and program management of the Hub’s projects and initiatives. The Associate Director will develop and maintain close working relationships with key internal stakeholders including the University's executive, Service Division Directors, the University's College Deans and School Directors. The Associate Director will support the Director in developing and managing relationships with outside policy stakeholders, to collaborate on strategic initiatives and enhance partnership opportunities with government, education and research institutes, and other public policy organisations.
