The mission of Facilities and Services Division is to "Enable academic excellence at ANU through integrated and innovative facilities and project delivery." The four key portfolios are Corporate and Client Services, Maintenance, Operations and Projects.
The Operations portfolio has the responsibility for managing and coordinating the delivery of operational services within the Division. This includes delivery of Sustainability programs and projects for the University along with management of the functions of Cleaning, Waste, Recycling, Gardens and Grounds, Security and Remote Sites.
The Security function operates from within Operations portfolio and is responsible for providing services to ensure the protection, safety and security of the University community and property.
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for the provision and management of day-to-day security operations of the 358-acre ANU campus. The Security Operations Manager ensures the delivery of a quality service that meets the needs of staff, students and visitors.
Providing strong leadership, resource and risk management and contract management are key components of this role.
